Concept

  • Prestodiag develops the technology PlasmIA™, products and platforms that enable to detect and analyze microbiological pathogens faster
  • Their first target industry is food-processing, to prevent outbreaks of contamination by detecting bacteria such as Salmonella in liquids and food thanks to its optic detection system
  • The technology can be applied in other industries such as pharmaceuticals to develop new antibiotics, or cosmetics industry to detect contaminated products. Currently Prestodiag is searching for new partners to develop veterinary diagnostic solutions
  • Prestodiag also received the ISO13485:2003 and ISO9001:2008 certifications for its Quality Management System

Consumer Benefits

  • Faster bacteria detection: the developed solutions allow to detect bacteria in a few hours instead of in a few days (1 to 3 days average)
  • Less expensive system: the system costs less than traditional bacteria detection tools

How to use

  • The user takes a sample to be tested and dilutes it with a special liquid. Then it is put into the Salmopresto kit. The kit is placed in a machine that analyses the sample’s composition of the sample within a maximum of 4 hours
